Lagos records highest daily cases of Coronavirus as seen in new NCDC Results

The present turn of events in recent times have not been favourable for Nigeria with regards to the number of daily cases of the novel coronavirus. Nigeria today recorded its highest recorded cases of the coronavirus which was recorded as eighty-six as the total confirmed cases hit six hundred and twenty-seven. This comes after the previously recorded highest was fifty one just two days ago and the president in his speech on 13th April 2020 announced that they had successfully traced about 92% of confirmed contacts.

This comes as a big shocker to Nigerians who earnestly wait for the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control to announce the new number of daily cases to always see that glimmer of hope. The reason for the uprise in the number of cases confirmed can be traced to two questions with a need for desperate answers; “Has the government increased the testing capacity for the virus nationwide?” or “Has this COVID-19 pandemic spread faster than we envisage or imagined?”

Whatever your answer may be, this uprise in the number of cases only announces that a further extension(which promises to be stricter) is imminent. In view of this, it is only safe to stay in your home, not accepting any form of visitors whatsoever.
